All Month. Photo Challenge. Theme: Reflections. Marc Moskowitz, our Photo Challenge moderator, set up a club FB album for you to post your month’s photos here. This is a fun event for all. Photos by Spiff Carner, Margaret Waage, Rick Olson, and Marc Moskowitz are just some of the photos uploaded so far. All are welcome to submit photographs.
Mon, 14 Sep, 7 PM. Competition. Theme: Bridges or Tunnels. Come and join us at the Sewell Mill Library/Cultural Center for this evening’s Prints Only competition. For this competition, there will not be Zoom access. We always encourage you to stop by to view the prints and hear the competition photo critiques by our visiting judge. After the meeting, we’ll head out for optional social time. All are welcome.
FYI. Mon-Fri, 14-18 Sep. Photoshop Virtual Summit. Enjoy watching some of the industry’s best Photoshop (Ps) instructors cover 45 Ps subjects with class formats that stress demonstrating the entire workflow.

FYI. Wed, 16 Sep – 21 Oct. Drone Classes. Club member, Chandler Bridges, alerted us to an upcoming event with Cobb County Parks at Fullers Park. A class, “Introduction of Drone Fundamentals” for adults will start 16 Sep and run weekly through 21 Oct, 6 PM- 7 PM. Drones can be used by photographers for amazing images… I plan to attend. 18 Sep. Exhibits. Exhibit photo clearance/confirmation. Email Mark Chandler digital copies of your potential photos (up to three photographs) to display in our Fall Exhibit at Sewell Mill Library. Any family-friendly photo can be submitted. More information from Mark shortly. Note the exhibit starts 29 Oct. Mark’s email is mchan18078@aol.com.
Sat, 19 Sep, 9:30 (Depart Sewell Mill at 9 AM). Field Trip. Exploring the Atlanta Beltline. Join Rick Olson as we explore the Atlanta Beltline. There will be lots of opportunities to photograph other walkers, bikers, and folks riding other things. You’ll see and hear street musicians! Historic sites, interesting people, brightly colored walls of graffiti and other public art, and more. There is a skate park – about 1.2 miles from where we’ll park; opportunities there to photograph some amazing young athletes. (This is a “real deal” skate park, with multiple bowls and obstacles designed to let the kids show their stuff!). More information/RSVP here.
Mon, 21 Sep, 7 PM. Continuing Education. Presentation Evening. Join our host, Hylos Barrett, for this evening’s Zoom-only educational presentation here. Hylos will email all club members the week before with more information. All are welcome.
Tue, 22 Sep, 7 PM. Welcome/Orientation. New Members Zoom. Dee Dee Bonesteel, our club’s Secretary and Welcome Chair, welcomes our newest members to learn about our club’s resources and review the process of competing in our monthly competitions. Q&A time included. Dee Dee will email the Zoom meeting URL a couple of days before the Zoom session to our new members. New members only.

FYI, digital photos are required for both Digital Only and Prints Only competitions by the above deadline. Members only.
