Mon, 6 Mar. Social Media. Monthly Photo Challenge. All club members will receive an email detailing the challenge topic and the hyperlink to upload their photos to our club’s Facebook page album. The Photo Challenge  is not competitive but gives members and visitors an opportunity to challenge themselves with a specific theme and receive helpful, constructive feedback from fellow club members. All are welcome.

Mon, 6 Mar, 7 PM. Competition. Monthly Competition Evening, Theme: Reflections- Prints only. Join us in-person at Sewell Mill Library/Cultural Center. For members submitting competition prints, please arrive around 6:45 PM.After the meeting, we’ll head out for social time and food at a nearby establishment.All are welcome.

Wed, 15 Mar. Exhibition. Deadline for digital copies of May Exhibit Submissions. Please email digital images of the photographs you will be displaying at our 1-21 May Member Exhibit at The Art Place- Mountain View to Mark Chandler here. More detailed exhibit information to follow shortly. Members Only.

Sat, 18 Mar. FYI: North Georgia Waterfalls. Our club just received an invitation to join the North Georgia Camera Club for their Spring waterfalls trip. More meetup information soon.

Mon, 20 Mar, 7 PM. Continuing Education: Presentation Evening. Join our evening’s Zoom-only educational presentation here. All are welcome.

Tue, 21 Mar, 7 PM. New Members: CPS Welcome/New Member Zoom Orientation. Dee Dee Bonesteel, our club’s Welcome Chair, welcomes our newest members to learn about our club resources and review the process to compete in our club’s competition. Q&A time is included. The Zoom meeting URL will be emailed at a later time. New members.

Sat, 25 Mar, 10 AM. Field Trip. School Bus Graveyard. Says Jack Martin, field trip leader, “”For me, shooting at ‘The Yard’ is about exploring the wonderful forms and colors that the artists create on a canvas of faded paint and rusty metal. A few of the buses are open so that you can, with care, see the effects of light through the painted windows.” RSVP/Sign up for more carpool and other specific trip information here. Mon, 3 Apr, 7 PM. Competition: Monthly Competition Evening, Theme: Simplicity/Minimalism. In-person judging at Sewell Mill Library/Cultural Center, located at 2051 Lower Roswell Rd, Marietta, GA 30068 or join us via Zoom here. All are welcome.

1 May-21 May. Exhibition. CPS Member Exhibit. With the club returning to a limited number of monthly prints-only competitions, the May CPS Member Exhibit is a great time to show off your newly printed work, as well as your time-appreciated work. All family-friendly photographs- framed or canvas prints- are welcome. Exhibition will be at the The Art Place- Mountain View. More detailed information is coming soon. Members only to display; all are welcome to view.

Wed-Sat, 3-6 May. Extended Field Trip: Saint Augustine Alligator Farm and environs. With Wednesday and Saturday as days of travel, Thursday and Friday will be our days of focused opportunity for bird and gator photos at the Saint Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park.

We’ll also have breaks during the day and nighttime sessions to photograph other sites in the area. With numerous visits to the Alligator Farm under his belt, Rick Olson will be our experienced field trip leader. RSVP/Sign up for more specific trip information here. Photos by Rick Olson. Late May/early June. Social/Learning Workshop: Learning Workshop, Club Potluck, and Social. Plan on a great afternoon at Switzer Library to catch up with other club members, enjoy a potluck meal, and learn about posing and flash photography with a model and expert instruction. More information soon. Members only.
